IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2012

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an institution which has been entrusted with the huge responsibility of selecting suitable candidates for the clerical and PO posts which arise in the various nationalized banking institutions which accept the recruitment platform provided by the IBPS. Till the last year, there were a total of 19 government owned banks which were using IBPS CWE as a platform to find out the most suitable candidates who could fill in the vacancies related to the clerical or PO posts in the banks. But from this year onwards, there would be 20 nationalized banks which would follow the platform provided by the IBPS. Due to the reason that the validity of score cards issued on the basis of the CWE held last year are about to end, IBPS has notified about the CWE to be conducted again this year tentatively in the month of December.

IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2012 details

Like the previous year (2011), IBPS is going to conduct the CWE (Common Written Exam) this year as well for the selection of suitable candidates for the post of and clerical posts in nationalized banks which follow the platform provided by the IBPS. The requirement to conduct the Common Written Examination is considered to be a very efficient prerequisite for the selection of the suitable candidates to the clerical posts in the government sector banks. A difference in the whole procedure has been indicated by the IBPS from this year. The CWE test will not be following the pattern of an OMR answer sheet for the questions asked in the examination. There would be an online test that would be conducted for the purpose of the CWE and the candidates can easily go through the test very conveniently by the online mode. This change has been brought into effect because of the high number of candidates who turn up for the CWE conducted by the IBPS.

Appearing in the CWE is a mandatory step to follow if any candidate wants to get into a clerical post or equivalent in any of the 20 nationalized banks which follow the platform provided by the IBPS. The candidates will be required to clear the CWE with the qualifying marks as the minimum in order to get the hopes up for the selection decision. The candidates who qualify the CWE Clerk – 2 will have to attend a Common Interview as the next step of the selection process. This is also a new procedure that has been included in the recruitment of the candidates for these 20 banks. The candidates who perform good enough in both these rounds would be selected on the basis of their order of preference of banks and their marks.
