working of public authorities. The Income Tax Department works under
supervision and control of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT). It
has around 60,000 employees located in more than 500 cities and towns
across the country and each of the region is being headed by a Chief
Commissioner of Income Tax.

Pay Band: The pay scale is also different for different posts:
For Income-Tax Inspectors, the pay scale is in between Rs.9300/- to 34800/- along with the grade pay of Rs.4600/-.
For Stenographers Gr-II and Tax Assistants, the pay scale is same i.e. in between Rs.5200/- to 20200/- along with the grade pay of Rs.2400/-.
For Multi-tasking staff the pay scale is Rs.5200/- to 20200 along with the grade pay of Rs.1800.
Age Limit: For Inspectors and Stenographers, the age limit should be between 18 to 27 years and for Tax Assistants and Multi-tasking staff, the age limit should be between 18 to 25 years. Age relaxation will be extended for different category candidates as per the government rules i.e. 5 years for unreserved candidates, 8 years for OBC candidates, 10 years for ST/SC candidates and 3 years for Central Government Employees.
Educational Qualification: The educational qualification is also different for different posts:
The candidates who are applying for the post of Income Tax Inspectors and Tax Assistants must have the graduation from a recognized university.
Stenographer candidates need to be passed in Intermediate or 12th standard.
Multi-tasking candidates need to be passed in matriculation or equivalent.
Application Fee: The application fee for general and OBC category candidates is Rs.100/- and there is no any fee for women and SC/ST category candidates.

Attach the required enclosures with the duly filled Application Forms and send to the address given below with the title “Application for recruitment of meritorious sports persons in Income-tax Department” through Courier or hand. The Income Tax Department of India has invited applications from
efficient sportspersons for the posts of Inspectors, Tax Assistants and
Stenographers in the department. The recruitments are being done for the
office of the Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Delhi region. The total number of vacancies that have been advertised for the available posts is 37.
These vacancies will be distributed into the various
categories/disciplines of the job as mentioned by the Income Tax
Department of India. The division of the total number of vacancies is as
follows:
Please note that the nature of above said positions are temporary, but
they can make it permanent according to the performance given by
candidates during the contract period or their requirements. The
Probation for a period of two years.
What is the Eligibility Conditions?
Applicant should be completed graduation or 10+2 with good computer typing speed. For more details applicant refer to Income Tax Department Delhi Recruitment notification.
As on 25th October 2012 applicant age for above said position set by
Income Tax Department is 18 to 27 years. If applicant belongs to
reserved category, need to read full advertisement (link given below of
the post) for upper age relaxation benefits.
These vacancies only for those sportspersons, they should have taken part in games on national level.
Selection and Application Process
There are three stages to complete for above said post. First stage is
Ground/Proficiency Test, second is Written Test and third last but not
least is Personal Interview. Applicant have to qualify in all stages to
get selected.

After download, take printout in white A4 size paper and fill all the
mandatory information correctly and enclosed all relevant documents and
