REQUIREMENT OF TECHNICAL ASSOCIATES (JRF)
Forest Survey of India (FSI) invites applications from eligible candidates for recruiting six to eight Technical Associates (JRF) on contract basis for a period of six months under the Project on Mapping of Aravallis (Rajasthan).
- Technical Associates (TA – JRF):
- Essential Qualification: M.Sc./B.E./M.A.(Geography)/MCA from recognised University/Institute with some experience of remote sensing & GIS applications (special paper, project, dissertation etc).
- Desirable Qualification: Diploma/degree in remote sensing and GIS applications. Preference will be given to UGC/CSIR/NET qualified candidates.
- Desirable Experience: 6 months’ experience of working in digital image processing (DIP) and GIS softwares (preferably in ERDAS Imagine & ARC-INFO).
- Emoluments: Rs. 12,000/-p.m. (fixed) + HRA as admissible.
- Age: Shall not be more than 30 years as on date of advertisement. Upper age limit may be relaxed upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ physically handicapped categories.
- Selection: Candidates have to appear for written test, hands-on test and interview at 9.30 AM on March 25, 2010.
